Winter is coming and it can be the toughest
time of year to run! 

Little tidbit about me… {I run on the treadmill occasionally, but for the most part I take running out in the cold, wintry snow and wind!}

Believe it or not, I love the fresh cold air!

Keeping consistent running will create a beautiful, healthy body for you.

A body where you understand your limits and mindfully know when to push and when to hold back.

Running is so rewarding and I want you to feel the benefits of consistency today!

This is a great challenge! When you run in the winter do you just use your regular shoes in the snow? Any spikes or anything? I’ve always cowered inside on the treadmill during the colder months but thinking about breaking outside this year. Any tips you have would be awesome!

    Hi Jeff 😀 Glad you like the challenge, it’s great for building consistency running! Awesome that you want to get outside and run this winter. The best advice I can give you about foot attire this winter is to try a few different ideas or products and see what best works for you. Yaktrax are excellent and you can get them from Mountain Equipment Co-op, you can also get slipon Micro spikes (Kahtoola spikes) that are in my opinnion a little too aggressive and I think are better for hiking. Slipons also can be a bit of a nuisance and move around the shoe. My favourite method of all is using sheet metal screws and screw them directly into the bottom of shoe. I’ve been doing this for 15 years and never had a problem, only the occassionally lost screw… It’s great for ice, snow and running trails. Transition from cement or tarmat to ice and snow is not too bad.
